THE TOOLBOX / DATA UTILITIES

Data, in the
shape you need.

Convert simple JSON and CSV data locally, without sending your files away.

This changes exported values, including headers. Spreadsheet applications may still interpret data differently.

●   Processed in your browser

Add data to get started.

Up to 500,000 characters, 5,000 data rows and 100 columns. JSON number precision follows JavaScript.

THE DETAILS

Know your data.

JSON to CSV

Use a nonempty array of flat objects. Columns combine keys across rows. Missing values and null become empty fields; nested objects and arrays are rejected. Very large numbers may lose precision and duplicate keys may be overwritten during JSON parsing.

CSV to JSON

The first row must contain unique, nonempty headers. Each following row must have the same number of fields. Values are preserved as text, so a code such as 00123 keeps its leading zeros.

Spreadsheet formulas

Spreadsheet programs can interpret some values as formulas. The optional apostrophe prefix changes fields and headers that start with =, +, -, @, tab, or carriage return to reduce this risk; behavior varies by application and no protection is universal.

Privacy and limits

Conversion and file reading happen in your browser. Input is not intentionally uploaded or saved. Choose the correct delimiter; imports and conversions have size, row, and column limits.
